Department of Commerce, through its letter dated 25 March 2025 (partial modification to Letter No. J-16/3/2007-SEZ Vol-V dated 17 February 2025), permitted SEZ Online for three categories till further orders: Shipping Bills for export through Merchant Exporter under Rule 46(11) of the SEZ Rules 2006, DTA Supply excluding FTWZ and Chapter 71 goods, and zone-to-zone transfers. Development Commissioners were also empowered to allow SEZ Online on an exceptional basis for specific unit challenges.
Averted operational breakdown for SEZ units whose DTA-supply, merchant-export, and zone-to-zone filings had begun stalling on ICEGATE. Preserved filing continuity for life sciences and other time-critical SEZ operations where BOE delays translate directly into clinical, contractual, or inventory exposure.
